About The Event

Organisations that thrive in our rapidly changing environment acquire knowledge and innovate fast. They adapt continuously and foster a culture that encourages continuous learning. They are learning organisations.

The term learning organisation was first coined by Peter Senge and his colleagues and was popularised through his book the Fifth Discipline. These organisations have a significant competitive advantage and remain competitive in our VUCA environment.

Learning organisations support experiments, new ideas and learning from experience. They allow for, but learn from, mistakes and they disseminate new knowledge by incorporating it into day-to-day activities.

Our panel of experts will discuss what it means to be a true learning organisation and what steps should be taken to become one.

Letsie Strydom, Head: Learning & Development, SANBS

Jill Lithgow, Education Solutions Lead, Johnson & Johnson

Linda van der Loo, Executive Partner – Learning Innovation, Blue Pebble Consulting
